Visualize Team Connections with the Group DNA Dashboard
Recruiting and building teams based on hard skills alone has proven to be an inefficient and incomplete hiring and management strategy in today's world of work. That’s why Talentobe has created the Group DNA Dashboard. It’s a new way to visualize the team profiling and talent matching tools first introduced by Group DNA (GDNA).
Now available in the Talentobe Manager platform, this powerful analytics tool leverages soft skill data to paint a complete cultural picture of a team, company or position. Users can also compare this key information alongside individual profiles to draw important connections between teammates.
Here’s how HR professionals can use the Group DNA Dashboard to power better decision making.
Discover the Group DNA Dashboard
Talentobe’s Group DNA Dashboard helps HR leaders visualize three key areas of people analytics: Culture Fit, Behavioral Diversity and Remote Work.
First, the new dashboard assesses culture fit, a key indicator of potential employee retention rate. This is done by evaluating how an individual matches with the predominant poles of the GDNA, zeroing in on personality traits and motivations that reflect the core values of the targeted team or company.
Second, the tool provides an analysis of behavioral diversity. This is a representation of the potential prevalence of diversity of thought, varied opinions and creative viewpoints in the workplace. To calculate this percentage, the GDNA Dashboard calculates the extent to which an individual diverges from the non-predominant poles of the Group DNA. The higher the percentage of distance, the more an individual can bring balance to the behaviors of a targeted team or company.
Finally, the GDNA Dashboard was built with today’s workplace in mind, dedicating space for key remote working insights. Individual profiles are compared against the results of our Remote Worker Group DNA profile to identify which teammates may excel in a work-from-home or hybrid environment.
Personalizing Your Results
In addition to visualizing these results all at once, users can also sort any matching results according to culture fit, behavioral diversity or remote working ability. This ensures that your decision making process can be as granular as you want it to be.
For example, a design team may be most interested in building their team around creative thinking. In this case, users could use the dashboard to maximize behavioral diversity matches.
On the other hand, a technology team may put more emphasis on boosting retention rates in a tight labor market. To attract the right talent with the skills needed to succeed, this might mean focusing on offering work flexibility and remote work opportunities. Therefore, this team’s dashboard may filter for remote work abilities to find the top matches in these asynchronous environments.

Ask the Right Questions with Talentobe’s Interview Guide
Resumes are the best tools available to hiring managers for evaluating candidates’ hard skills. However, it’s becoming increasingly clear that the likelihood of success in a job is dependent on more than just technical qualifications alone. In fact, according to a LinkedIn Global Talent Trends report, “89 percent of recruiters say when a hire doesn’t work out, it usually comes down to a lack of soft skills.” That’s why Talentobe has introduced our Interview Guide, a new tool designed to improve the job interview process with a candidate’s soft skills in mind.
Introducing the Talentobe Interview Guide
Talentobe’s Interview Guide is generated based on an individual’s MyPrint results. After a job candidate completes their soft skills assessment, hiring managers can now access sample interview questions based on behavioral work styles, including:
- Learning Style
- Conflict Management
- Communication
- Decision Making
- Work Style
- Leadership Style
- Creativity
- Risk Orientation
- Team Participation
- Change Reaction
- Rule Consciousness
In short, our Interview Guide brings together key structured questions for all of the behavioral styles found in the MyPrint results specific to a candidate's profile in one easy-to-use format.
When coupled with a soft skills assessment that’s backed by the science of people analytics, structured interviews have proven to be one of the best predictors of future work performance. A clearly defined structured interview process also ensures that the candidate experience remains consistent and unbiased.
How to Use the Interview Guide
This guide is meant to be used alongside the MyPrint One Pager report in order to provide holistic understanding of a candidate's predominant soft skills and help to inform the interview process.
The sample questions provided allow hiring managers to go above and beyond the analysis of the soft skills results in order to zero in on behavioral takeaways. They can help interviews to identify the behaviors that are most relevant to the job description, then support the process of asking for relevant and concrete examples from previous professional experiences. The questions generated in the Interview Guide can be used both in behavioral and structured interview designs.
It’s important to note that the results provided for each candidate should not be utilized as a coaching tool; it is not for those being evaluated, but for the evaluator! Whether being used to gain insight during recruiting interviews or to support development during the annual review process, the interview guide acts as a tool to support decision making driven by the science of soft skills.

New Tailored Group DNA Feature Adds Personalization to Soft Skills Analysis
Talentobe is excited to announce the arrival of the newest feature of Talentobe Manager — Tailored Group DNA! In the last year, our team introduced Talentobe Managers to Group DNA. The idea was simple: Users needed to be able to make smarter HR decisions and maximize synergies within teams by leveraging MyPrint® soft skills data at scale.
Group DNA achieved this with two core purposes in mind: team profiling and talent matching.
- Team Profiling: Group DNA allows users to uncover the soft skills and traits that shape any distinct work group of three or more people. The result is a visual representation of what makes a group effective, and where there are skills gaps to fill.
- Talent Matching: Group DNA improves talent matching by determining the synergies within a job function by taking a sampling of members and allowing Managers to identify the predominant skills that contribute to that groups’ success. Based on that knowledge, candidates can be matched to the role against the Group DNA.
Tailored Group DNA takes this concept one step further by adding personalization options for our users. While Group DNA is a purely data-driven tool which compiles all dominant traits from a sample group of members’ MyPrint data, Tailored Group DNA allows managers to zero-in on the precise traits they may need to focus on for a particular hiring or management situation.
With Tailored Group DNA, you can now find solutions to the following questions:
- How do I leverage Talentobe’s matching algorithm without an ideal sample group to work off of?
- How can I integrate the soft skills that reflect my organization’s values into our selection process?
- How do I leverage my team’s MyPrint insights to create diversity of thought?
It’s time to put a human touch on the data that’s driving your business forward! From hiring to internal mobility, Tailored Group DNA will empower you to fill the soft-skills gaps on your team and put your expertise to good use while maintaining leveraging the scientific integrity of our Group DNA’s matching algorithm.

Talentobe Launches New Website and Logo as U.S. Operations Expand
Talentobe is excited to announce updates to its brand, including the launch of a new website and logo, as operations expand to deepen our presence in the United States.
Talentobe was founded in Paris, France in 2012 to provide science-backed, data-driven talent insights to individuals and businesses. In 2018, Medix, a U.S.-based organization specialized in workforce solutions and recruiting skilled personnel in the Healthcare, Life Sciences, Engineering & Construction, and Technology industries, acquired Talentobe with the goal of enhancing both organizations’ service offerings. Since then, our team has grown to become a global leader in predictive people analytics, providing powerful career, team and workforce intelligence to the world.
“Talentobe has always been a purpose-driven organization, and since expanding into the U.S. market, our core purpose of empowering growth has only grown more important to the work we do,” said Talentobe and Medix CEO Andrew Limouris. “As we find new ways to help businesses and individuals unlock their true potential, our continued, strategic growth in North America will allow us to better serve our clients and community members.”
The completely redesigned logo, website and new brand elements align with significant expansion of Talentobe’s service and product offerings in 2021 and beyond, focused on supporting Corporate HR and Hiring Managers, Higher Education, HR and Coaching Firms and HR Tech Companies.
“The growth of our organization over the last few years has been invigorating, and the new look of our website and brand is designed to reflect and build upon the passion and energy that brought us here,” said Jordan McGuire, Managing Director at Talentobe. “Today, our people intelligence database includes 4+ million profiles from individuals in more than 160 countries. Despite the broad and expanding reach of our tools and technology, we are a company that measures success in people — the careers we support, the teams we build and the businesses we advise.”

Introducing the MyPrint® Assessment
Think about your first cell phone. What features did it have? What technology has remained consistent, and what has evolved over time? Would you prefer to be using that same technology today?
Just as our cell phones change over time, other things in our lives evolve as we grow in our abilities and develop as a society. Among those is our soft-skills assessment here at Talentobe!
mYti© to MyPrint®
If you have been a member of our Talentobe community, then you’ve probably experienced the mYti© assessment, our original personality and motivations questionnaire. If you visit our website today, you will see the latest innovation in Talentobe’s science, MyPrint®, our brand new soft skills assessment. MyPrint® still measures personality and motivations but in an even more accurate way than before!
Theoretical Background
The theoretical background of the MyPrint® assessment is based on long-standing theories of personality and motivations within the psychology community. The personality dimensions are based on the Five-Factor Model of personality, which is considered the standard in personality trait measurement across cultures and has been proven reliable by more than 40 years of research¹. Our motivation dimensions are derived from Maslow’s Hierarchy of Needs² and the Self Determination Theory³, both of which left a strong legacy in the definition and measurement of motivational factors⁴.
Our Dimensions
Think back to our cell phone analogy. Your first phone probably had a lot of the same features that your phone has today (such as texting and calling capabilities) but they might look a little bit different; for example, now most cell phones have the ability to voice text or video call.
In the same way, the MyPrint® assessment has a lot of the same features as the mYti©. These features may look different, however. For example, we are still measuring personality and motivations and providing information about professional behaviors. Some of our scales have remained the same, such as Patience, and others are simply represented in a new way. For example, the Creativity scale is no longer a part of the personality radar, but it can still be found in our professional behaviors. With this change, we have been able to simplify our personality radar and motivation chart, without compromising member results.
Our Science
In addition to the scales and dimensions that we have updated, you might also notice that the questionnaire itself has changed. This is because we have updated the “behind the scenes” statistics and calculations for the assessment to use cutting edge technology, a lot like what happens when your phone receives a software update.
Just like the mYti© assessment, the MyPrint® uses “forced-choice” questions. This format provides two statements that are equally desirable, so it takes away what is called the Social Desirability Bias of trying to find the “right answer” to the questionnaire and gives the user the freedom to answer in the most truthful way possible.
The MyPrint® questionnaire takes the forced-choice question format one step further to not only have the user choose the statement that fits them the best, but to indicate to which extent that statement better suits them. This concept is called “multidimensional binary forced-choice with graded preferences” — one of the most recent and useful innovations in psychometrics⁵. More importantly, this is how Talentobe is able to achieve greater accuracy through developing our new MyPrint soft-skills assessment.

Unique Results You Can Actually Use
It is human nature to be curious. That is why we hear children ask “why?” over and over again or take the online social media quizzes knowing that there is no validity in their results, but we are simply curious as to what TV character they might say we are or what movie our personality is most like.
When it comes to our personalities and soft skills, the right tools will allow you to leverage technology in order to capture, represent and report our human elements that make us unique in a simple way. That is exactly what Talentobe’s One Page and Premium Reports do!
Whether you are interested in learning more about yourself or thinking about using these reports to manage your team, let’s spend a couple minutes together learning about these two reports.
A Quick Review
After completing the MyPrintⓇ questionnaire, your results will be visualized into reports as a one-page or premium report. There are a total of 26 possible personality traits, 22 motivations and 44 possible behavioral types that will make up your unique results. Just think about the possibilities!
Three high-level definitions to keep in mind before we dive into the reports:
- Personality traits are used to describe the attitude and emotional characteristics of an individual
- Motivators are the reasons an individual acts or behaves in a particular way
- Behaviors help us understand how an individual acts or conducts themselves towards others
One Page Report
If your time is valuable and you want to understand the most pertinent information in a summarized format, then the one page report will be your best friend. This report is separated into three segments, including a personality summary, top motivators and behaviors exhibited. Essentially, it highlights the need-to-know information about your soft skills in each of the three areas and identifies the traits that make you, you!
The personality summary section displays the top three most distinct personality traits an individual possesses based on what Talentobe measures in our questionnaire. The top motivators section displays the top three most distinct motivators for an individual. Lastly, the behaviors exhibited section displays the three predominant behavioral styles of an individual.
Premium Report
Now don’t worry, because we know comprehensive detail can’t be summarized in one page. So for all you that love to dig into the details, our premium report is perfect for you. This report contains over 30 pages of detailed information about every single personality and motivation trait, as well as your behavioral styles. In addition to the granular details, we see well summarized personality and motivation trait visuals with our easy-to-read personality radar and motivations scale.
The premium report not only provides you with the results and descriptions of your results, but also gives you recommendations on how to use those results. As we dig in to each personality trait, you will find additional tips to review. For motivators, we will not only understand what motivates the individual, but also what can discourage that person. In each behavioral style, we can understand the description of the style, assets, and questions to ask ourselves or the individual whose report we may be reviewing to dig into the behavior further.
Interested in what your personality, motivations and behaviors are but haven’t had a chance to experience MyPrintⓇ Of course, we would be too! Contact one of our Talentobe experts at contact@talentobe.com to experience the questionnaire and view your one page report as soon as you answer the last question. We can’t wait to hear what you think.
Stay tuned for more exciting product news! We know that 2020 is going to be ROARing!

Talentobe Manager launches digital self-service offer to automate process for customers
Talentobe, a human centric, people analytics solution that empowers individuals and teams to identify and harness their unique soft skills to grow, recently launched its online shop. I interviewed Benoit Patra, Talentobe’s CTO, and Othmane Lahlou Amine, Key Account Manager, to explain what this initiative means for the company and its customers.
Can you explain what the Talent shop consists of?
Benoît: Our Talentobe Manager solution for HR Professionals is used to better identify talent using an assessment to evaluate an individual’s personality, motivations, and behaviors. Until now, we offered companies unlimited packages that allowed them to recruit one pool of candidates per year to be purchased through their account manager. Then, we realized that one standard offering can be somewhat problematic for some of our clients. Today, we are launching the self-service Talentobe shop, which allows them to buy as many profiles as they need when they need them.
Why did you decide to launch this new and innovative offer?
Othmane: This shop is actually not a surprise for our clients. They requested it, and we made it happen. Our customer satisfaction and feedback drive our innovation, and the shop is actual proof of that. The Talentobe shop now allows them to be autonomous and buy the number of credits they need without any support from the sales or customer success teams. With that said, if anything, this shows that companies are more mature and willing to invest to digitize their HR processes. However, they do not always know where to start, as the scope is quite large. At Talentobe, we offer them a solution that modernizes their recruitment and talent management processes, that is easy to use and access, and that is adaptable to their specific needs.
What is the added value for HR Professionals?
Benoît: The process of purchasing new credits to access additional profiles is completely automated. This allows any HR professional to be fully autonomous, from the order form to invoicing, including refund services and discount offers. Customers buy new packages and pay by credit card or Paypal. We ensure a completely secure payment by partnering with Shopify, a great and proven e-commerce platform.
It is accessible from within the app and for new Talentobe members regardless of the size, location and budget of the company. The only requirement is to have a Talentobe account, which is free and doable in less than 2 minutes.
Othmane: Our client base is extremely diverse, from very small to global; what they shared was the need for autonomy in managing their subscription. The shop allows them to do just that. And by doing so, they save time and money while modernizing their processes throughout their talent life cycle.
In conclusion?
Othmane: The Talentobe shop for HR professionals shows that they can provide their company with a high value-added service, that is easy to use, innovative and accessible by modernizing their image among candidates and employees. Today, HR professionals want and need to be actors in the transformation of their processes. They are convinced that they have a crucial role to play in strengthening their services, and thus enhancing the employer brand; we help them do just that.
A Menu tailored to your needs
Say hello to your new Talentobe Manager menu ! As we’ve mentioned in our 2018 roadmap, user experience is key for Talentobe. That’s why we are launching a complete redesign of the Talentobe Manager menu, tailored to your specific needs.
In the past we’ve had some feedback that navigating the Talentobe Manager account could be a bit confusing, with features scattered in the menu and sometimes placed in hard-to-reach tabs.
In order to build this new menu, we’ve adopted a user-centric method. Indeed, Talentobe has many uses : recruitment, coaching, career counseling, mobility, talent management… We wanted to provide you an intuitive, task-driven navigation that fits seamlessly with your processes. To this end, we set up a user panel whose feedback and active participation ensured the new menu design would be dedicated to your needs and better showcases its features.
In a nutshell, your Talentobe Manager menu now features a homepage that showcases your last assessments and quick links for every available feature, which are distributed among 4 clusters : Members, Target Profiles, Activities and Settings.
1. Find your bearings
This new navigation bar is meant to reflect your real usage of the Talentobe app. As a result we’ve pooled all our previous features into four categories :
- Members : this is where you’ll see everything pertaining to the candidates you invited on talentoday. Profiles, labels, pending requests.. everything can be tracked there.
- Target profiles : they display the most significant differences relevant to a job, team, organization… that way the Talentobe target profile library and your custom profiles are always at your fingertips.
- Activities : an all new category meant to gather all the features derived from your target profiles and members’ data. This is where you will find our matching and talent selection features.
- Settings : everything related to your resources, usage analytics, organization and plan details can be found there.
2. Get a deeper look
3. New default avatars
As an additional treat, we’ve decided to shake our default avatars up a bit. People who have registered on our app without adding a profile picture will now be assigned a colourful tile with their initials, instead of a grey silhouette. Enough to brighten up your Members tab!
The navigation and avatar updates are available to anyone with an active license. Renewing or getting your Talentobe Manager license will give you access to all these features and many more in the coming months.
Let us know what you think of these changes, we’d love to hear your feedback. If you have any questions, you can get in touch with us on twitter, facebook or mail.
2018 Outlook for Talentobe Manager
Talentobe is always looking ahead and continues to expand its features in order to help you make great decisions! Our 2018 roadmap is packed full of new ideas, which will revolutionize the way you look at employee development and mobility. Our interface will also receive an upgrade — get ready for a whole new Talentobe Manager menu design!
Here’s a list of just some of the things you can expect in the upcoming year:
1. Career Next Move
Career orientation, planning and mobility… Talentobe’s Career Next Move will put you on the track to even greater success at work by recommending career options based on your current soft and hard skills. Balance what you know with what you’re good at and what you’d love to do!
Whether you’re looking for a fresh start or you want to build on your current experience, this feature will allow you to match your hard and soft skills to your dream job!
2. Development Profiler
Have you ever wondered how your goals, behaviors and personality have evolved throughout your life? As your work responsibilities change and as life events happen, your priorities shift. The Development Profiler will allow you to track these shifts by displaying the evolution of your soft skills and goals over time.
3. Team Profile
These days, much of the work in an organization is done collaboratively. As Aristotle said, “The whole is greater than the sum of its parts.” Discover your team’s inner workings, behavioral strengths and weaknesses, and bring the right people together based on their soft skills. This profile will help you to boost your team’s effectiveness, foster innovation and avoid interpersonal issues.
4. New navigation
For a more practical and intuitive use of your Talentobe Manager, we’re planning on fully redesigning its navigation. The new menu will better showcase its features and uses.
Let us know what you think of those ideas, we’d love to hear your feedback. If you have any questions, you can get in touch with us on Twitter, LinkedIn or mail.
Talentobe Manager keeps changing for the better
2017 was a busy year for our Innovation and Development team! Thanks to your feedback and their hard work, the Talentobe platform keeps evolving and delivering new and useful features.
Here’s an overview of some of the latest innovations now available on your Talentobe Manager app:
- Upgraded Reports: a new design and full customization capabilities are available for your Premium Development, Target Profile and Matching reports.
- Enhanced Labeling: The custom list filter further simplifies the mass labeling of your members.
- Improved Analytics: Individualized and branded Welcome Page links for your counselors, as well as powerful Microsoft Power BI dashboard and data export capabilities (into Excel/CSV) are now available.
- Extended Integration Capabilities: Complete or partial integration of Talentobe into your third-party HR tools is now possible, thanks to our Partners API and our embedded application.
1. New design and full customization of all reports
Our reports have a new look! You can now choose between the colorful Original Style and the smart new Classic Style, which provides the option of a sleek black & white modern look, and is perfect for more formal work environments.
With this choice of styles, Talentobe reports can be customized to better fit your or your client’s corporate culture. If you want to convey a sense of fun and vibrancy, choose the Original Style. If, on the other hand, you want to convey a more formal and refined feeling, the Classic Style is the best choice for you.
Either of these looks can be applied to all Talentobe reports, whether the Premium Development report, the Target Profile report or the Matching report, for a strong and consistent visual identity.
Last, but not least, you can now fully customize the Target Profile and Matching reports, just like you could with the Premium Development report. Just choose the sections you would like to include in your reports, according to your needs.
2. Labeling made easy
The labeling feature has also been revamped. Previously, you could choose between two ways to add labels to people: either pre-labeling them via the “New assessment” invitation box or manually choosing them one-by-one from the “People assessed” list.
This system works perfectly when you need to label a small number of people, but when it comes to mass labeling, it can become rather tedious. This is especially true when you use a Branded Welcome Page. Tagging a lot of people becomes cumbersome, since you won’t be using the “New assessment” invites. On the other hand, applying a new label to people you’ve already assessed can be time-consuming, since you’d have to look for them individually.
It is for this reason that we have simplified the process by creating the Custom List Filter.
The Custom List Filter allows you to quickly and easily apply multiple labels to multiple people by letting our filter search your database for you! For instance, with the aid of a spreadsheet such as Excel, you can copy and paste the relevant email addresses and tag them with a simple click.
Don’t worry about accidentally missing someone. The custom filter pop-up window will tell you how many of your entries were found in your database.
3. Better analytics
Our Branded Welcome Page gave you the ability to alter the appearance of the Talentobe welcome portal by branding it to your business. However, tracking counselors’ activity was less manageable, since this page was linked to the account manager and not to each counselor. That’s why invitation links to the Branded Welcome Page are now specific to each counselor, allowing for an accurate analysis of your use of Talentobe.
Some of our clients needed their data for statistical purposes or for reporting to other people in the organization. You can now export all your Analytics Data into a CSV file.
Do you need even more data, more detail and in real time? Ask for a custom dashboard! Using Microsoft’s Power BI technology, you can have access to a wide range of new information, such as the number of questionnaires completed over time or the most active counselors by branch. It allows you to perform a thorough analysis of all your Talentobe data.
4. Integrate Talentobe with your HR tools, thanks to our Partners API and embedded app.
Whether you want to incorporate a light version of Talentobe into your third-party HR applications, or completely integrate the Talentobe app (assessment, results and data included), everything is now possible with our Partner API and our new embedded app. Facilitate account creation by automatically populating the registration form with info from your HR tools, and assess your candidates without making them leave your website.

As you can see, Talentobe continually strives to give you the best customer experience, and will keep changing for the better.
Up next: The innovative features we’re currently working on, which will be launched in the coming months!
